Evening Peak Time Is Back , a 20-meter-long, 3-meter-tall wallpaper installation occupying both walls of the exhibition hall on the second floor at Gallery Hyundai, was created in collaboration with the webtoon artist ‘1172’. To expand the worldview of Ernst Mo and En Storm and their complicated and nuanced relationship, Kim deploys the GL (Girls’ Love) culture, a sub-genre in web novels and webtoons focusing on the romance between women. In the world of Delivery Dancer’s Sphere, Ernst Mo and En Storm show various aspects of the relationship, such as antagonism, compassion, and affection, which cannot coexist in the same space and time. These are the states of affairs of possible worlds. These are the ways in which two entities may exist (the ways they could be), and furthermore the ways they could stand to each other.
By employing the visual elements of GL, considered peripheral and niche in Korea’s subcultural realm, the artist has created a speculative and subversive visual narrative for female delivery riders.

가로 20m, 세로 3m의 월페이퍼 작업으로, 웹툰 작가 1172와의 협업으로 완성되었다. 영상 <딜리버리 댄서의 구>가 제시하는 세계에서 에른스트 모와 엔 스톰은 서로 반목하기도, 연민하기도, 애정하기도 하는 등 동일한 시공간에서는 공존 불가능한 사태들을, 관계의 다면들을 보여준다. 마찬가지로 ‹다시 돌아온 저녁 피크 타임›이 제시하는 것은 또다른 가능한 세계들의 사태들(state of affairs)이다. 이는, 두 개체가 존재할 수도 있는 방식들(the ways they could be)이며, 나아가 두 개체가 서로에 대해 존재할 수도 있는 방식들(the ways they could stand to each other)이다. “지독하게 얽힌” 에른스트 모(Ernst Mo)와 엔 스톰(En Storm)의 세 가지 존재 방식을 보여주는 이 월페이퍼는 웹소설과 웹툰의 하위장르 중 하나로 극히 마이너한 영역으로 알려진 GL(Girls’ Love)장르의 코드를 접목한다. 웹툰 작가 1172는 실제로 바이크 타는 여성들을 소재로 GL물을 창작한 바 있다.
